a barn
raising
My sleeper
cells agitated, I lay awake last night. But like most vexations,
insomnia has its silver lining. Wakefulness enabled me to watch a
late movie on television and, last night, the movie was Witness.
As a
connoisseur of Amish erotica, I am confident there is no finer example
of this art form than the shower scene in which John Book (Harrison Ford)
watches Rachel Lapp (Kelly McGillis) sponge bathe her naked upper torso.
In that scene, Rachel senses John's presence, but she does nothing more
than turn to meet his gaze with silent, carnal, blue-gray eyes. Every
time I watch that scene, I feel like raising a barn. |
