Voters
in Sausalito, California, rejected a proposal to build a police and fire
station because it violates the town Feng Shui Ordinance which "prohibits
the obstruction of harmonious energy flow." The municipal ordinance
defines "energy flow" as "that which cannot be experienced, measured, or
otherwise proven, whether quantitatively or qualitatively." The law
defines "harmonious" as "any characteristic compatible with uselessness"
and provides further that, in the event of civil disobedience or conflagration,
citizens "shall chant for peace and safety." |
