February 14, 2002 why i make my bed Before my exile, I did not make my bed.  I believed it was senseless to tidy in the morning that which would be disturbed at night.  I have come to see the arrogance in this position.  It assumes the bed which was occupied last night will be occupied again.  So I make my bed every morning as a reminder that I should take nothing for granted.
